Rebates and Incentives

 

 

Washington Electric Cooperative offers rebates and incentives to our residential consumer-members for a variety of energy efficient appliances and systems. 

 

 

Electric Water Heaters

 

Water Heater Rebate Application_Fillable_0.jpg

$200 rebate for newly installed electric water heaters that: 

  • Are 50 gallon capacity or larger
  • Have at least 2 inches of foam insulation
  • Have a minimum 7-year warranty
  • Have an Energy Factor (EF) of 91% or higher

Rebate requires a load management switch.  

 

Dual Fuel Heat Pumps

Fillable pdf form for the dual fuel heat pump rebate

$400 rebate for electric heat pumps that are installed on a propane, natural gas, or fuel oil furnace. Heat pumps must have a minimum 14.5 Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) and minimum 8.2 Heating Seasonal Performance Factor (HSPF).

Rebate requires a load management switch and signed air conditioning agreement.

 

 

Whole House Air Conditioners

$100 rebate on whole-house air conditioning units that are in good working condition and have been installed for less than 10 years.

Rebate requires a load management switch and signed air conditioning agreement.

 

 

 

Geothermal Systems

$600 rebate on newly installed geothermal systems that:

  • Are ENERGY STAR- rated
  • Have a minimum 17.1 EER and 3.6 COP for closed loop systems
  • Have a minimum 21.1 and 4.1 COP for open loop systems

Rebate requires a load management switch and signed air conditioning agreement.

Energy Star Refrigerators & Freezers

$100 rebate for replacement refrigerators or stand-alone freezers with a new ENERGY STAR®-listed appliance that: 

  • Were purchased between June 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021
  • Are installed in a residence (no commercial or industrial buildings)
  • Are between 10 and 30 cubic feet in size
  • Are not placed in a newly constructed residence

Member must provide proof of purchase and Energy Star rating. 

 

Energy Star Central Air Conditioner Rebate

$150 rebate for Energy Star-rated central air conditioners that: 

  • Are purchased and installed between June 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021
  • Have a minimum 16 SEER
  • Are smaller than 6 tons

Member must provide proof of purchase, installation, and Energy Star rating. Rebate also requires load management switch and signed air conditioning agreement.
