Join Our Team as a Safety and Compliance Manager!

Are you passionate about creating a safe and compliant work environment? Do you thrive on leading teams and managing comprehensive safety programs? If so, we want you!

Position: Safety and Compliance Manager

About the Role: In this pivotal role, you will spearhead our Cooperative's safety and compliance initiatives, ensuring an exceptional and ever-improving work environment for all employees. You will oversee and enhance our safety programs, manage inspections, and deliver top-notch training to keep our team safe and our operations compliant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and update our safety manual and improvement plans.
  • Manage safety performance metrics and reports.
  • Conduct effective safety coaching and enforce safety rules.
  • Develop and promote safety programs, including hazard recognition and near-miss reporting.
  • Oversee vehicle and equipment inspections, incident investigations, and injury reporting.
  • Coordinate safety training and certification programs.
  • Ensure regulatory and environmental compliance.
  • Maintain emergency action plans and liaise with FEMA and local emergency agencies.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma (required) and relevant certifications.
  • 7+ years in the electrical linework trade, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, lead safety training, and maintain compliance with all safety standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform light to moderate physical tasks and lift up to 50 lbs.
